Well well, another Great Ditchweed show to soak ones' brain in!!! The show was Saturday, June 27th. The opening band was a group from Chicago called Plastic Hi-fi and they really weren't as good as they claimed they were in one of Cincinnazi's free weekly papers. They played with no fire and the tempos dragged on for ages. Most in the audience were glad they stopped playing and left the stage to the Kings of Rock---DITCHWEED!!!!
Ditchweed must have enjoyed the layoff they had because they blistered the fans with a power-packed set that left me to think that there is no justice in the world because Ditchweed is the best band I've heard in years and they seem to be trapped in this town to play small clubs until they get tired and quit.That would be a real loss because Ditchweed can play any style music with ease and grace and power. Hell, they even did a cover version of AC-DC's song, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and made me like it! And the 3 new songs make me wish for another 2 CD year from them like last year (You Need The Doctor and Mute Your Maker). But unless they get busy.....Oh well, I can dream can't I? Anyway, I'll see them again August 24th at the Southgate House because I never get tired of Ditchweed.
They are the BEST BAND IN CINCY!!!!
